Special Educational Needs and Disability Support at Victoria Road Primary School and Nursery

Hello I am Mrs Collins and I am the SENDCO at Victoria Road Primary School and Nursery.  As part of my role, I work with the teaching staff and parents to support all children with SEND needs.

All children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are welcome at Victoria Road Primary School and Nursery. Full support will be provided to each child who has SEND requirements with well-thought out, individualised strategies to support children to overcome barriers to learning.

Victoria Road Primary School and Nursery is an inclusive school, providing a caring and collaborative learning environment, so that all pupils can reach their potential.

Parents of SEND Children

It is really important that we develop close working relationships with our parents and families, sharing a common aim to support the educational outcomes for our pupils with SEND needs.

At Victoria Road Primary School and Nursery, parents are fully involved within our SEND provision. Parents will have the opportunity to work with the school SENDCo (Mrs Collins), our school Parent Support Advisor (Steph Jacques) or other additional support networks such as PIAS, who the school have built some sound working relationships with to advise and support our parents.

Please use the information below to find out more about our SEND provision.

If you require further information please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Collins (SENDCo) by emailing Sarah-jayne.collins@victoriaroad.uk or alternatively you can contact the school office.

Below is some useful information about SEND at our school and helpful links for parents and carers.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would further support.
